Shaoul Levy | Founder & Partner

Shaoul Levy is the founder of Levy Affiliated. He has over 25 years of experience investing in real estate, and acquired his first major commercial property in 1988. Mr. Levy formed Levy Affiliated to invest in real estate in Southern California on behalf of high net worth individuals, and has since grown the company to a team of 50 individuals overseeing a portfolio of nearly $500 million spread across the western United States. He has extensive experience investing across a variety of deal structures, having sourced, negotiated and executed over $630 million of real estate transactions. In total, he has acquired 56 commercial properties, representing 4.0 million square feet of buildings. Mr. Levy began his career as an accountant, working first for Alexander Grant and then with Price Waterhouse in their Los Angeles offices. He started his own practice, S.J. Levy & Company, in 1982, which is still thriving. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Jewish Federation's Real Estate, Construction & Finance group. He graduated with honors from Georgetown University in 1978. Mr. Levy is also highly involved in local Jewish charities. As part of his retail development in the Little Tokyo district of downtown Los Angeles, he erected a statue to honor Chiune Sugihara, a Japanese Consul during World War II who, by granting visas against the express orders of his government, saved over 6,000 Polish Jews. The statue has raised the consciousness of Mr. Sugihara's heroism and led to posthumous awards from the city of Los Angeles and state of California. Mr. Levy is also a former board member of the Kahal Joseph Sephardic Synagogue and current chairperson of the Endowment Committee of the Sinai Akiba Academy. 0 properties
